Tuesday - October 8

Happy 6 months to Luke...gosh time flies!!!   Hard to believe we were here on April 8th
celebrating his birth and now, he's a happy, sweet very active boy!

Luke LOVES  his bouncy swing

We were up early this morning and left the house at 5:15 for O'Hare.   Lots of traffic and 2 accidents later, we were at our gate for 10:00 departure only to find we were delayed - left 45 minutes late.

Philip and friend, Jeff from Houston (Southwest pilot) picked us up - Jeff is helping Philip with the kitchen island the next few days.      Home to Annette and Luke...oh my how he's changed!    It's been almost 3 months since we saw him (July 19th - the day Blair was born)!    Such a happy little guy and wow...what chunky legs, thighs, arms......he's a bruiser!!!!   22 lbs....

Annette prepared a delicious dinner of baked ziti, salad, bread and wine....she and I took Luke for a stroll - so cute seeing how well he sits up!    After his bath, I gave him his bottle and the guys and Annette enjoyed the hot tub and pool!

Great to be back here and sooo looking forward to a fun week ahead....Mark and I are tired, so....
.nite nite!!!

Monday -October 7

Beautiful fall day in the 60's......exercised and then met the neighbors for breakfast.    Mark came  home and I had doctor appointment (yearly check-up) and then ran some errands!    Very happy to get a clean bill of health!

Finished packing in the afternoon - we are off early tomorrow for FL - so excited to see Luke (last time was mid July) and Philip and Annette.

Liam has a fun day planned tomorrow - all the 3rd graders are going to the country and see how the harvesting works, tour a few places, have lunch, etc.    This is the 22nd annual trip to Gridley and always a highlight that Liam's teacher who happens to be my Sublettian friend, Debbi organizes for the enjoyment of the kids and parents alike.   Anne will be a driver....

Brenda picked me up and we went to Marsha's for delicious casual, yummy supper of gondolas, fresh tomatoes/mozzarella, fresh green beans w/bacon, chips and then topped off with excellent squash pie!

Sunday - October 6

Nippy and breezy today.....went to 8:00 Mass and then both of us had a productive day getting stuff done around the house    Went for a walk in the afternoon when it was nice and sunny.   That didn't last too long and the clouds rolled in!

Went to Liam's last baseball game at 5:30 - COLD and BLUSTERY out at the ole ball field bundled up in sweatshirts, jackets, gloves, and blankets!

And the folks trying to keep warm!

It was 51 degrees with strong winds.....hot chocolate hit the spot.    Grandpa and I didn't stay for the whole game - we wimped out but left our blankets with Anne and Patrick!

Liam's team lost 9-4  and next up - hockey season begins tomorrow!
