Here we are - 1st picture with our naval aviator!
Ryan's squadron
Mark and Pat with our kids!
After the ceremony, some of the aviators rode this device which simulates an aircraft catching the trip wire on a carrier. It consists of a chair on a railroad track that goes downhill on steep descent into the water. There is 2' section to pull back the trip wire, but if you do it too soon or too late, you take a plunge into the cold water! Ryan went in the water first go 'round and then caught the wire in time - yeah!!!! Many cheering on from the sidelines! Some of the parents tried it, but Mark said "with age, comes wisdom" - NO thank you!!!
The Birthday Boy - what a memorable day!!!!
This is where we celebrated Friday night way out in the boonies of Rivera Beach, Texas - great seafood all caught here in the Bay!
