HAPPY BIRTHDAY FLO
Flo is "4" today....
wow, so many good memories with our "home on wheels"
Jim and Shelly from Bloomington (in Naples for February) came to Cypress Trail today. Jim and Mark worked together and Jim is newly retired. We visited for awhile and then left for downtown and walked around deciding on Izzy's for lunch.....the sidewalks and restaurants were very busy this beautiful Saturday, Jim, Shelly and Mark had grouper sandwiches and I had shrimp - all delicious! Back to our place and sat on the patio with more chatting followed by a heart-shaped white cake with fresh strawberries and whipped cream (another delicious Publix dessert.)
They left shortly after 5 with a plan to get together for pizza at Lucca Grill in Bloomington in May.
Mark and I did a short walk and visited with brother Jim. He and Lydia had some surprise visitors this afternoon - sister Joan and Joe rode their motorcycle down from Arcadia.
When we had our boating friends here on Wednesday (all had been on E-12 at Reefpoint Marina in Racine), we found out that evening that Carol (Venice) was missing her wedding ring.....she thought maybe it came off when she washed her hands in the she shed. We looked thru the garbage, but no luck. She also called Buckingham Farms but they were closed and of course, that trash was long gone when she talked to them on Thursday. Felt so bad for her and she was devastated.....she really thought maybe she hadn't even worn it to Fort Myers and she'd find it at home "somewhere", but after tearing their house apart, nothing. And it did not come off her finger easily, so???
WELL.................this morning I was wiping off our patio table and just happened to look down at the chair where she'd been sitting and something sparkled up at me! Oh my...................it's Carol's ring. She was thrilled, very excited and beyond thankful (we've been praying to St. Anthony). Planning to get together tomorrow and return this treasure! Carol is still baffled how it ended up there? I love happy endings!!!
Tomorrow we will meet Bob and Carol (and eat) and give Carol back her beautiful ring.
