October 1

A stormy afternoon/evening here with chilly, windy temps and thunder, lightening, rain......Mark left this morning with a truck full of stuff to take to Annapolis and our new boat - 2004  PDQ 34' power catamaran.    Tomorrow is the closing, and then he's spending a few days getting acquainted with all the bells and whistles, reading all the POWER boat manuals, etc.

I had 6 long-time bridge friends for lunch today - actually, they brought thee most wonderful salads, muffins and dessert............all deeelish!    Fun catching up with these gals and exchanging books (we all love to read,  so our get togethers include sharing the favorites we've read and want to pass on).    Good friends, Donna Rae and Ed  invited me to have dinner with them at their retirement home - fun!!!   Really blew the  diet today!!!

Ryan got his official orders today and will be leaving Saturday at 10:00 for LA, London and Bahrain.   He'll be onboard the USS Nimitz for 6 months!     Please pray for his safety and for all our young men and women in the military.....

Liam and Connor are spending the weekend with Grandma - yeah!    We are going to have a FUN time just hanging out (mostly indoors from the sound of the weather).
