Another winner in the weather department - as Don and Ann said last night...."this is sooo not the usual summer weather on the Chesapeake!" We love it!!!
Left the Miles River Yacht Club at 9 and went a short jaunt (8 miles) to our anchorage on the Wye River. Took the dinghy to check out where we could go ashore and do some hiking (as we were told), but could not find a good spot, so.........pulled up the anchor and went another 6 miles and at the Wye River Nature Reserve, we tied up the dinghy and hiked thru some pretty woodsy areas and in open farm country past corn and bean fields.
So calm and peaceful here - one other sailboat off in the distance!
Mark grilled chicken and along with a salad and wine enjoyed our dinner on the bridge !
