Happy Birthday America!!!
A beautiful hot and sunny 4th of July! We exercised, had breakfast and then off to get our rental car at the Syracuse airport. We put Big Red back into storage next to Flo and then got our bags loaded up and off to Rochester. We took the scenic route along Lake Ontario and stopped in Sodus Point. We were here on June 5th and saw all the flooding, sandbags, etc. Well, one month later, not much has changed - really sad. However, lots and lots of people out and about enjoying and showing their patriotism!
We had lunch at Six50 and sat outdoors watching all the boaters. Nice trip thru small towns, and saw so many lovely, huge homes along Lake Ontario outside Rochester.
Checked into our hotel, had some popcorn and drinks and went for a walk.
We watched "Salute to America" live from Washington, DC - WOW.....what an awesome tribute from President Trump to our armed forces, the music, huge crowds, and dramatic ending with Blue Angels flyover making this Mama teary-eyed.
Tomorrow we are off to Dallas!
Hope you've all had a fabulous red/white/blue day.
HAPPY 4TH !!!
