Sunday - March 7

Everything is so fresh and green today after the wonderful rain yesterday!    We enjoyed our pastries from the Island Java Co and then went to Mass with Father Tom Macdonald in Boston.

We left in Big Red at 10:20 (our 4th day trip to put some miles on before we can tow Flo).    We stopped at Publix to pick up a European fruit torte and then off to Lakeland (2 hrs. 20 min) to spend the afternoon with my brothers and wives.    It was much cooler today and very windy, but with the sun shining, very pleasant sitting on Ron and Vicki's patio.    So fun to be together again - hadn't seen R and V since January, 2020 and Bob and Linda, last June 1, before we left for our trip out west.

Had a great lunch of fried chicken and Linda's yummy potato salad (just like my Mom used to make).    Then we scarfed down delicious lava cake that Vicki made in the crock pot with ice cream and my fruit torte.    More visiting and we were back on the road at 4.    Hopefully it won't be near as long till we're all together again,    We missed our annual Fort Myers shopping and eating outing this year!   😥

We stopped at Legacy Marina in downtown Fort Myers and met Doug and Charlotte.    Mark drove their car and I drove Big Red back to Cypress Trail.    Charlotte and Doug leave tomorrow on their boat for LaBelle where they'll store it for the season.    It's about a 4-hour trip for them.    We'll deliver their car tomorrow which they'll have to drive on home to Annapolis probably Thursday.   Lots of packing, cleaning, etc., when you leave your boat.....

Zoom tonight with the siblings....all 12 present and as always, a lively conversation.    One of the hot topics was the package with tons of strapping tape from China addressed to Janet in Rockford.    Very suspicious and she's going to call the police.    It was delivered by DHL.    Reading more about these packages is quite a scheme and racket....more coming later.

A nippy night for us - down to 48.

Have a safe, healthy week - Big Red now has 958 miles.
