Sunny Sunday with temps in the mid 80's and a balmy warm breeze. We were off to St. Francis Xavier and what a nice surprise to drive into parking lot and see the brand new "red" roof and dark tan painted church. When we left FM last April, the roof was a big, very $$$ project that was partially done. No damage from Ian - looks wonderful!
New roof and paint on St. Francis
Good to see Father Anthony again and other familiar parishioners at the 9:30 Mass.
Stopped at ATM and 7-Eleven for gas and on home. Went for a walk and then voted and ready to mail our ballots and filled out several online forms to volunteer for the Red Cross. We should hear something within a week.
Did some laundry and Mark plotted out some reservations for traveling over Thanksgiving.
Since we've been back to FM, almost daily, I'm getting text messages about selling my FM property. No thanks....but certainly a HUGE need for renting and/or buying.
This is my sad bougainvillea that did not survive Ian....
Kevin cut it off at the stump...
this is what remains and he "thinks" it will come back?
No sign of life yet???
When our neighbors Rog and Martin sold their lot next door in the spring and before leaving for home, they gave us another critter to add to Betty, the Bunny and Trixie and Tillie, the Turtles. We sure will miss Rog and Martin who became good friends and hopefully will be in Fort Myers house hunting next month.

We put the cover on Big Red so all protected from the hot Florida sunshine
Mark had a baked potato and spinach salad for dinner; I had my leftovers from the University Grill (Bronzed Atlantic Salmon and garlic smashed potatoes) - so delicious. Mark had the same salmon last night, too, but ate all of his! 😋
Went for a short walk - early mornings (after 7:30) and evenings (before dark) are so pleasant!
Finalized our Thanksgiving and Christmas plans today - going to NC for both holidays. Anne, Liam and Connor will be coming to Fort Myers on New Year's Day for a week!
Zoom tonight with 9 siblings - Tom and Beth are still in Italy and lots of the usual chatter amongst the rest.
