A warm sunny day and perfect for getting together with long-time former boating friends. We usually have around 20 for our Mid Illini luncheon (folks who spend the winter in FL or have moved here). Because of illnesses, moving away and other reasons, we only had 5 (Ron and Pat were to be here from Longboat Key but apparently forgot when we called?)
So, 5 of us sat at a nice table near the water and enjoyed our lunch at The Boathouse. We had not seen Marcia since last year....her husband Cy passed away in 2021 from Covid. After lunch we came back to Cypress Trail for dessert, drinks and more visiting. A very fun afternoon! Hopefully next year we'll have more of our group back together.
