Another pretty day with pleasant temps. We left at 9 with bikes, helmets and headsets in Big Red heading for Clyde. This is 24 miles away but we love their coffee shop and there's one direction towards Fremont, we've never ridden.
Wild Brew was good as ever - neat old bank building that they did an awesome job renovating and a very busy place this Saturday morning. Mark had a bacon/egg/cheese sandwich on English Muffin - the REAL deal, nothing processed + hot tea. And I enjoyed my cinnamon muffin and latte Then we were off on our bikes. I did 14.2 miles but my battery ran out (bike and body 😟) about 2/10 from the finish line. Mark was able to go 15 miles before he was winding down! So, a good ride and then put some diesel in truck and on home.
We saw these flowers frequently along the trail....maybe wild daisies?
Had lunch, Mark got everything charging (bikes and headsets) and a nice quiet afternoon until it was time to head to the Elks...
We enjoyed a delicious chicken dinner (grilled chicken, corn-on-the-cob, baked beans, a roll and assorted cookies). Darryl and Andrea performed from 6:30-9:30. The Elks is huge with a stage and dance floor and it was packed - definitely the largest venue we've seen them at. They played music from the 90's, 80's, 70's and 60's. Great fun!!!
Downtown Port Clinton is full of these beauties - mandevilla in big black pots
