Wednesday - August 9

A very big day but now our NC kiddos are on their way home....Grandpa and I are just chillin'.

The day started out sunny - just gorgeous.   We were all set to get under the 8:30 bridge and we made it and on our way out on Lake Erie.   50 minutes later, we arrived on Put in Bay and docked at "Park Place" where we can "dock 'n dine" for 4 hours.    Always a nice friendly dockhand to assist us with lines.    Mark checked into the office, we walked to the coffee shop and ordered our specialty coffees, lattes (hot and iced), and hot chocolates, rented a 6-passenger golf cart and off we go to see Put In Bay.

Philip was our driver and we showed them all around the island.    The guys returned the golf cart and met us at "The Goat, Soup and Whiskey" - what a name!    But more commonly just called "The Goat".   A friend of Philip's said this was a must place to eat and for the many times we've been to Put In Bay, this was our 1st time!    Such a pretty setting and we loved our Reuben balls, Perch tacos, perogies and philly cheesesteak.    Their first location is in Keystone, CO and the most recent opened in 2019 in St. Croix.   Excellent!

We walked downtown and the guys went one way and we gals did our thing - checked out a few shops, the kids played in the nice park and then we were back on Catrina heading to Port Clinton.    Philip wanted to leave when we returned as they are driving part way tonight - so lots of hours between here and home.

Sad to say good bye, but we had so much fun and we'll be back together in less than 3 months.

Cuddling with "my girl"
Annette enjoying the ride
