Sunday, June 5

Rained all morning - we did our exercises and went to11:30 Mass and what a special occasion it was.   Father Joe was ordained in the Cleveland Diocese 2 weeks ago and today, we were there to celebrate with him as he said a Mass of Thanksgiving.   Father moved to town with his family in 1978 and was our babysitter (Michael, Anne and Philip).    He was a research chemist for 20 years and then went into the seminary and now at age 47, he's a priest.    After Mass, there was a reception and we enjoyed visiting with him and his family.    He gave us a special blessing for our marriage, children and grandchildren.

The afternoon was hot and sunny....did some laundry and started packing (family vacation in NC next week and our big boat trip coming up).  Piles of clothes here and there.    Liam and Connor came over in the afternoon.    We went for a walk around the block and they had a great time with Miss Candy's dog, Maggie...

After supper, the boys were off to the first night of vacation bible school (6:30-8:30 Sun-Thurs) and Mommy is helping as an activities leader.    The boys are coming back here afterwards and spending the night!

The troops are back all excited about their first night of VBS....they've had baths and now tucked in for the night!
