Hello from the Imperial Valley near El Centro, CA. We are settled in our base housing and anxious to have dinner with Ryan later. It was really neat as we were driving along today, watching the Blues practicing and roaring right over us!
Grandma's procedure went well today. She does have an infection and on an antibiotic. Three of Mark's sisters went with her and she chatted all the way home! Very happy to hear this as she's been sleeping so much lately. Maybe this infection was the cause of being so lethargic?
Please pray for her peace and comfort.
We had a good flight from Chicago to San Diego and then a 105-mile drive to the base which is 5 miles outside of El Centro. The drive is so pretty with tons of rock formations in the Laguna mountains! Beautiful sunshiny day - 82 degrees.
The sky is full of stars here in the desert - spectacular!!! Just got back from a great visit with Ryan and wonderful dinner at Grasso's Italian Restaurant. Sooo fun to be back with our boy!!!
We are tired......still thinking we're on eastern time..3 hours ahead!!!
