Sunday - August 7

We checked out of the WAC and headed to St. James Cathedral (the Archdiocese of Seattle) for 8:00 Mass.    Returned our rental car to SeaTac and got to see Jack and Regina who are returning home to Honolulu today.

Allie and Owen picked us up at the airport and we were off to John and Janie's daughter, Shelby's home.     They were having a party today (not only for the Blue Angels and the hydro plane boats, but for Shelby and Scott's 7-year old son, Barrett's birthday).

It was cool and very overcast with a good rain shower on our way to their home, but then skies cleared a little and sun came out.    Sun didn't last long, though as more clouds rolled in.    But no more rain and we enjoyed a delicious spread of goodies for lunch.

Unfortunately just before the show started,    Allie walked back to the car to get some ear plugs, tripped on a bad raised area of cement on the sidewalk and took a bad fall to her face and hands.
What a bummer......got some ice packs on her chin and lip.    There were 3 doctors and a nurse on hand.....the orthopedic surgeon checked her hand and just a bad sprain, no break.   Shelby is a nurse and her husband, Scott, an ER doctor, plus a cancer skin surgeon and her father, the orthopedic surgeon all on hand.     Also, several nice folks were near Allie when she fell and came to her rescue including an EMT.

We watched the show from the 2nd story balcony off the master bedroom - low show, but still fun!    What a lovely home on Lake Washington and straight out from center point.    We were directly across from where we were on the boat Thursday.
Enjoyed a glass of wine and visiting with John and Janie and then left for the airport.    Allie and Owen took us, we said our good byes.    It's been such a fun week together off and on sharing some sites and all the beauty of Seattle and Victoria!

The Princess is such a fashionista!!!
Miss her....

So many happy memories of this big trip to Anchorage and Seattle.     We packed in a bunch of fun stuff each day and  will always cherish our 2 weeks in this beautiful northwest!

Mark and I are waiting here at the airport for our flights (stand by) - I'm hoping to get to Newark on the red eye and then an early morning flight to West Palm.    He's going to Dulles and then drive to Annapolis checking on Catrina.

Maeve and Luke are waiting......can't wait to do my Grandma duties!!!
