Sunny Sunday greetings from Yankton, SD. We left Valentine around 9:30 and traveled 217 miles past many corn and bean fields (more and more as we headed east). Many small towns but NO little coffee shops. After seeing them all over the west, I think they are now a thing of the past! 😥
Highway 20 is a really good road and not that much traffic - other than the very dusty dirt road from a few days ago, it was great!
Healthy Nebraska cornWe veered off 20 and drove 36 miles north on Highway 81 to Yankton. Soon as we crossed the mid- point of the Missouri River, we were in SD. This makes our 12th state The KOA Yankton/Missouri River Campground is nice - just all unpaved roads and sites, so more dust. Their pool is closed (never opened this year) and we could count on one hand the # of pools that have been open at campgrounds all summer. And the # of campers/RV's, far outnumber the semi trucks on the road. At least that's the way it's been throughout the west.
Went to Mass via Boston. Sure hope we can return to church soon?
Ryan is hanging out with Anne and her boys for a few days......all our kiddos start back to school this week. Davis actually started hast week.
Wishing them all a great year - staying safe and healthy!!!

Zoom with 10 siblings but a bad connection for us. Always good to check up on one another!
Went for a walk around the campground and met a couple from Ames, IA who rented an RV and started out this morning for their 1st time. They only have 1 week, so trying to pack in as much as possible, but will be putting in some long days.
Wishing y'all a healthy, safe week!
