Wednesday - August 5

We have been so blessed with great weather this entire summer......of course, some areas are in dire need of rain.    Now we know why there is so much irrigating around....they only get about 10" all year.    Winters out here are an entirely different story with major snowfall.

It got to 82 today and we were on our way at 10:30 traveling 159 miles from Ririe, ID to Dillon, MT.   This southern part of Montana is so different than up north where it was wide open sky country - here we are surrounded by beautiful mountains and so much beauty.

We stopped in Dubois, ID for a quick break and arrived at 1:30 at our home for the next 2 nights on the outskirts of Dillon at Countryside RV Park.     We are 6 miles south of town and so remote but so scenic and peaceful.

Top agenda for the day was laundry.    They only have 2 washers and 2 dryers here, but fortunately no one else there, so got my 5 loads done!    Yeah!!!

Some pretties along the way today...

My cousin's husband passed away this morning from pancreatic cancer after being diagnosed in June.    Denny was only 70.

Our nephew and Godson, Tom's brother-in-law was to get married in November at a destination wedding in FL.    With the pandemic, they moved the date up to September and the new location was Wisconsin where bride and groom live.    About 10 days ago, Nick was diagnosed with leukemia and in a Milwaukee hospital.    Lots of prayers needed that he can get his platelet count up so he can receive chemo.
