Wednesday - May 5

Happy Cinco de Mayo Day and what a beautiful day it was!      After 2 gloomy, chilly, rainy days, we had all sunshine, 65 and just delightful with no wind!

I was a gadabout again today leaving for town at 8:15 and returning to Mark and Flo at 4:15.    First stop for me was a mammogram and then met Claire at "Crafted" for coffee/pastries.   This was Claire's first visit here and she thought it was great.    We sat and yakked awhile and then she drove her new car and I hopped in for some shopping/browsing.    She needed some gifts and we had a fun time at Amy's Hallmark, Home Goods and Hobby Lobby.    Then to Biaggi's for delicious lunch and more chatter.     All in all, a very fun "girls day out".    Big hugs as we said good bye till September - looking forward to having Kathy visit from Texas for a few days then.

Cheers to Kathy

Stopped in Normal to have my diamond/wedding ring cleaned and checked.    All good.   Picked up a pair of Mark's slacks that he had altered and on home.    We walked around the park and had a nice chat with a couple from WI who were enroute to O'Fallon (tomorrow) to visit relatives the next few days.

Mark had a very productive day doing more logistics for summer/fall travels.    I'm sure glad he enjoys doing this - figuring out where we'll stay, making reservations, etc., etc.    He walked around KK and met folks from Washington State and WI (different folks than who we talked to tonight).    He had some interesting stories to share.   We are in between AZ and AR RV's tonight and across the way NC and OR.    For a week, we had a couple from GA next to us who were here enjoying their brand new granddaughter who was only 2 days old when they met her.   Grandpa took the 5th Wheel on back to GA but Grandma is staying for more cuddle time.

Rain returns tomorrow.....arghhh.   We hear it's so hot in FL and they are in dire need of rain!
