Whoaaaa.....today was CRAZY starting with waking up to a horn going off from our neighbor, Martin'a truck (he's in Missouri), so not sure how that happened, but eventually shut down. Then some heavy rain finally giving way to a tornado watch and very strong winds - 29 mph with gusts to 40. Lots of downed palm tree fronds. Later we heard about a tornado touching down at Eagle Ridge here in Fort Myers and did some nasty damage.
Liam and Connor both slept in the she shed (2 air mattresses side by side just fit!). Auntie and Anne like their room at the Hyatt. Auntie stayed at the hotel this morning to "watch" her students at Dixon High School take finals (amazing technology). Mark and the boys went to Hardees for breakfast. Anne came over later and she, the boys and I went to Bennett's for donuts only to find every single solitary donut GONE! We will go back much earlier next time. Little confusion (ha)! getting to where we wanted to be downtown....Grandma's been gone too long!!! Publix for a grocery run and on home to unload groceries (boys) and Grandpa and boys did a garbage run, Anne and I got ice at the club house.
The Campbell's picked up Auntie and took off for some shopping. I did a load of laundry - winds have calmed down a little but still strong.
Liam then took over the blog..............
Liam got new shoes although his old ones were completely fine. I do not know why his family members felt he needed a new pair. But it is ok, he says his new ones are nice.
We all settled down after a long day and played some delectable games with everyone but grandpa or as grandma would call him "scrooge" and we are ready to go get 'em tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Pat and Liam
Grandma's turn....
Had a really good dinner at The Boathouse and fun to be back here.
