Tuesday - December 7

Today marks the 80th anniversary of Pearl Harbor - Mark and I remember that somber memorial which we visited in 2012 when Ryan and the crew of the USS Stennis returned from their 8-month deployment in Afghanistan.     God bless these brave soldiers who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

One year ago today I had my shoulder surgery and so pleased with how it is now!

Burrr....."felt" like 3 when we got up this morning....winds are much better but oh my, a shock to the ole bods!

Heller Ford in Pontiac came to pick up my car (Lincoln Corsair) for an oil change and check about system shift fault,    We love the concierge service where they pick up my car and give us a loaner.

Claire picked me up at 9 and we were off to Eureka for some holiday shopping.    Scottwood was so beautifully decorated and we sipped on peppermint/marshmallow lattes as we shopped.

We are good little shoppers!

Then to Braker's for some wonderful food shopping at this great Mennonite grocery.    Also enjoyed excellent lunch of their holiday melt - grilled honey wheat with turkey/ham/cheeses, cranberry jam and spinach - WONDERFUL!!!!

Back to Bloomington and hit a few more stores and on home.    Mark had to get the luggage cart to get all my stuff in.    It was so cold today but we sure had a fun time!

Took some things to the Campbell's late afternoon - Connor had fever today so home another day.

Tonight the MNF's went to The Ozark House (they are not open Mondays so we switched to tonight).    This is one of my favorite Bloomington restaurants and everyone loved their meal, drinks, and dessert (delicious grasshoppers, Brandy Alexanders and coconut cream pie).   A fun festive evening - missed Linda and Donna.    Next Monday, we'll party hearty at our Christmas gathering hosted by Linda.
