Friday - July 15

We are back in Port Clinton after a wonderful little getaway to Vermilion - love this very charming, clean, well-kept community!    We stopped at Brewed Awakening (another cute name for their coffee shop) and walked around a few blocks with our coffees - gorgeous 70 degrees.

Stopped at Wal Mart, Bassett's (few groceries), Barry's Bagels, and got the car washed.   On home to Catrina!   Unloaded and settled in.

Fifty-seven years ago tonight (July 15, 1965), Mark asked me to dance to "Hey Mr. Tambourine Man" by The Byrds in Rochester, Minnesota and the rest is history!!!  😀

Jeff, our mechanic yesterday lives in Vermilion and has an air bnb across the street from Chez Francois.   He and his wife have a 5-year old boy and 2-year old twin girls - really nice guy!    We told him if we had known about his air bnb, we would've stayed there....he laughed and said it was rented out last night by 6 Amish fishermen.    It's doing very well - I can imagine the number of tourists who enjoy this neat town, but yet, it doesn't have that touristy feel at all!

The staff at Coffee Express wear colorful t-shirts with cute sayings like yesterday...

"Life is Short - Stay Awake for It"

I got a call from someone at BeYoutiful and they were calling on behalf of Danielle for me to reschedule.   She will be working Saturday, Sunday, and Monday to catch up.   I'm going for a mani on Monday morning.

We've heard about Friendship chicken sold at some gas stations here - tried it for supper...tenders, potato wedges and roll - $4.49 and tasty!

We are looking forward to our niece Megan and her friend Alex coming tomorrow...

Enjoy your weekend!
