Started the day with PT at 9 with Jeff. Then we did a couple of errands until 11 appt with Dr. Mehalik.
Pat talked about her slow progress. He explained you don't judge progress based on the type of surgery you had. You judge it based on the type of injury you had. Some reverser shoulder replacements are done because the rotator cuff is gone. That recovery is fast. Pat's was damage to bones and muscles. Her recovery will be slow. Surgery is the same for everyone, but damage is different, thus recovery is different.
He suggested she mark a spot on the wall based on how far up her arm can go. Mark it every month until it's been a year. Progress will be made, it will just be slow.
Always good to get the professionals perspective.
After we got home Ron and Vicki arrived for 2 days of fun. We sat outside and caught up then played 4 games of Euchre. Ron and I won the first three games. Vicki and Pat won the last one.
They headed to Hyatt to check in.
We picked them up to have dinner at Coopers Hawk. Excellent meal for all. It was their first time for a Coopers Hawk. They were impressed.
After dinner we dropped them off at the hotel and back home to settle in.
