Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa Pete

My Dad's life journey has finally ended after 94 years. He died peacefully early this morning, January 24th. Although he struggled for a long time with many health issues, he was a fighter to the end surprising the doctor, nurses and our dear Judi with his endurance.

He was such a dear and loved by all for his gentle manner and politeness. He received outstanding care at the Lutheran Home and they were so fond of Pete with little pet names, teasing and great camaraderie.

I write this with lots of tears but so grateful that he suffers no more and has gone home to Mom, his parents (Dad was only 14 when his Mother died), 2 siblings, family and so many friends! After over 71 years together and then a separation of 2 ½ years, the team of Pete and Alberta are back together!

Pat: I had tears reading the Blog today. Your Dad was as you said a gentle, polite and humble man and we are all better to have known him. Rest in peace and rejoice to be with all your loved ones Pete Dinges. Love, Judy
