Monday - May 12

Hello from Oxford, Maryland.    We left Michael's house at 5:47 AM an drove thru some heavy traffic (especially around DC) and after a few stops, traffic delays, construction, etc., we arrived in Oxford at 2:35.  As I've said before, this little town on the eastern shore of  Chesapeake Bay just oozes charm!    We backed the truck up to Catrina and began the unloading process - whew....it was hot and sticky, but got the job done and all out stuff is waiting for me tomorrow to be put away.

Checked into the Ruffled Duck Inn where we stayed last fall when we took Catrina out of the water.    Nice to see Dennis and Joyce, the proprietors, again.   We got cleaned up (showers never felt so good - ha)!   Walked to the Pope Tavern at the Oxford Inn for dinner - very good and so pleasant sitting outside on the porch.,    Back to the Ruffled Duck and sat on the front porch swing.    So many of the homes in this town have either white picket or black wrought iron fences and then beautiful gardens and flowers with rocking chairs or swings on the porches.

Lovely B and B in Oxford

Just one of many charming homes

Luke taking a little nap - still has a nasty cough.    His Daddy arrived today so glad they are altogether again at Nana and Grandpa's.    BIG NEWS.......Luke took 3 steps today!

Rain is coming next few days....not sure what time Catrina will be launched tomorrow.....plenty to keep us busy settling back onboard "our home on the water" for the summer (off and on).
