Thursday - April 28

We are happy nomads to be settled at the Flanners Beach Campgound on the Neuse River in the Croatan National Forest    What a pretty place (no view of he river but very woodsy and quiet!)    After being on the road 4 straight days, we're glad to stay put till Sunday.

And we had the added benefit of "hearing" the Blues practice - couldn't see them, but they were loud for sure!   Gotta love the roar of those jets!

Good to be back in NC and seeing different parts of this beautiful state.    We left Lugoff around 8:30 and had a good trip stopping in Goldsboro at Wal Mart for a few things.   We arrived at the campground at 2:15.

We drove into Havelock, closest town for Mark to get some things at Auto Zone.    Stopped at Cups and Cones for some ice cream.....nothing special!    BUT, as we were driving down the road and while we were at Auto Zone, the Blues did some of their maneuvers right above us - as many times as we've seen them, this Mama's heart still goes thumpity thump!!!

My sweet  little darlin's at Lake James
soaking up all the beauty
