Saturday - June 3

We were up early and were leaving our anchorage in Hudson Creek by 7:15.    Pretty day but a little choppy as we made the 2-hour trip to Cambridge.

We were anchored out in front of this beauty - on the market for $5.4m
Boy....a far cry from Smith Island

We've been to Cambridge 4 or 5 times mostly by boat but also car.     Nice stroll to historic downtown past beautiful old homes.   The downtown is a cute area but has picked up a notch since our last visit in 2015.     There is "Black Water", a cute coffee shop/breakfast place (you know me and my coffee shops) plus 2 new restaurants, one serving BBQ and the other lobstah.    Both came highly recommended.

We walked around downtown, got some cortisone 10 cream for darn mosquito bites we picked up on  Smith Island or last night anchored out.   We enjoyed coffee at Black Water and then I browsed at Craig's, a very nice gift shop + pharmacy/drug store that has everything!   Mark came back to Catrina to start his job list.    Later we gave Catrina a good scrubbing washing all the salt away and making her spic 'n span.....til we head out again and get more salt (a nasty about the Chesapeake or any salt-bodied waterway)

Planning to stay here for a few days and had planned to have dinner with friends, Don and Ann tonight, but Don is fighting a nasty sinus infection, so we postponed till Tuesday and hope to meet in Oxford.    Don and Ann live in Easton.

We had a wonderful dinner at Bistro Poplar, a small charming French restaurant.   ***** rating!
We met a nice couple from Salisbury who were high school sweethearts, then went their separate ways and married others but met again at their 30th high school reunion.
They've now been married 20 years.

After a very windy day, it is so calm, peaceful and pretty tonight!
