Thursday-Friday, August 2-3

Thursday - we left around 8:30 for Niagara Falls after Sarah and I got our lattes from Starbucks.   We had a 1 hr., 40 min drive, got parked and did cave of the winds with the hurricane-force winds.    Then Maid of the Mist boat ride and after these 2 wet rides, some changed clothes and we walked to the Canadian side.   45-minute wait to go thru customs and then had the whole afternoon in front of us.

Cave of the Winds
All the yellow ponchos headed to the top!
Off we go - 2nd time for Drew; 1st for Sarah
On the Rainbow Bridge (Drew and Sarah in USA; Mark and I in Canada)

We snacked, drank delicious smoothies from Freshii, walked and walked and walked some more (17,531 steps).    The kids rode the Sky Wheel and played 18 holes of Putt Putt Golf.    Stopped for more treats and then Drew got some souvenirs at Hard Rock Café.   Long walk back to the truck, but it was such a nice day....
Niagara Falls is the oldest state park in the US founded in 1885 and the inspiration for our national park system.    We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 visits there this summer.

Mini golf at Niagara Falls
Gorgeous flowers in Canada.

Fun shopping and trying on...
Heading back
Bye bye Canada (in and out of customs very quickly)!

We stopped in Tonawanda at The Shores for dinner - a favorite just down the street from Smith Boys.    Then on home (1 hr. +) - Drew drove and we were happy (and tired) to be back on Catrina after a fun day in the sun!

Friday - Mark and I exercised, kids slept in and then we had a late breakfast at Savory Crepes.    Drew and Sarah took the bikes and shopped.  Few sprinkles, but rain went all around us!    Mark and I went for a walk thru a nice residential area - this community of Pittsford is so upscale and I've never seen so many salons/spas!

Tonight Dr. John came to hang out with us (rest of the family was busy) on Catrina, enjoy the Friday night concert and supper from the food truck!    Nice evening
 Concert in the park!

Another fun day in Pittsford, but tomorrow we are moving on....
