Woke up to a very snowy outdoors - 2nd time this week to scrape off the snow on my rental car! But first, I exercised and Mark started the trek home from Marion. I met Sharon for breakfast at Fort Jesse Cafe - great to catch up with her and see beautiful pics of her daughter's summer wedding over a hearty breakfast!. We'll see Sharon and Harry in Florida in February/March!
I'm getting lax in taking pics - missed Claire and Donna Rae yesterday and Sharon today. Arghhh
Got a manicure and so enjoy Lisa, my nail tech and catch up with her family and other goings on around town.
Back to Eastland - Mark and I sat down and chatted about his 2 days in Memphis and FedEx info.
And then..................time to dig back in to bins and boxes. He took a big load to the mission and brought back more treasures from storage.
I wrapped gifts in the afternoon and then did 3 loads of laundry. We went to Hacienda Leon for yummy Mexican dinner.
When Ryan was returning from his 7-month deployment in the Persian Gulf on the USS Stennis (2012), we met the ship and crew in Honolulu and then spent a week on the carrier returning to San Diego (Tiger Cruise). Ryan's commanding officer of his squadron (The Top Hatters) was Kevin McLaughlin, Such a nice man and his young son, Declan was also on the trip with his Grandpa. Actually the first time we met Kevin was in St. Louis in 2010 when he and Ryan flew in from CA and did a flyover over Busch Stadium. We saw Kevin at various air shows when Ryan was with the Blue Angels. Yesterday I was reading about the 21 Navy jets that will do a flyover at the George H.W. Bush presidential library tomorrow after his burial near College Station, Texas - 4:15 central time. Kevin will be leading the formation! What an awesome honor for a super neat guy and so proud to have met him.
