Sunny 1st day of winter but cold with the wind! We enjoyed some hot chocolate with marshmallows and candy canes - yummy from our friend, Linda. Blair did facetime with us and sooo excited with all the presents under their gigantic tree. Then she took us upstairs to see her tree - beautiful. Waiting for a picture?
Heller Lincoln/Ford in Pontiac came to pick up my car this morning (and left us a loaner). The screen covering the dashboard had some smudges and a scratch from when we got it (all inside). So, they replaced that and there are a few other things (parts backordered) which will be taken care of in Fort Myers.
I walked to the office to get some mail - brisk out there but sunshine feels good! We have 26 mph winds with 38 mph gusts. Whew....hang on to your hat!!!
Mark and I both had therapy this afternoon. Stormie is really pleased with my progress just 2 weeks post surgery - good movement and gave me several more new exercises to do at home. I have 2 more sessions scheduled and she thinks that will do it and just continue at home! YES!!!
Stopped at Schnucks for a few things and on home.
Mark had Stormie, too, later and as of today, is finished with his therapy (at MCO). He'll continue at home. Back is definitely better, but not totally where he wants it to be. Tomorrow he sees his doctor's NP.
Our nephew-in-law, Ryan will return to work on January 15th. He and we are so happy with this good news!
At 5:10, I got my car back and then we called and ordered dinner from The Brass Pig, a new BBQ spot in town. Claire had highly recommended it. Very good Cuban (me) and salmon club for Mark. Cornbread was extra special! So sad to see downtown so deserted and dark (they do have new street lamps since we've been down there), but bars and several restaurants all closed (not even open for carry out - maybe cause it's a Monday)? Just so sad for all these businesses!
Euchre with Mark and Nancy - whoaaa....Nancy and I could do no wrong (especially Nancy) and we beat the guys 3 of 3 !!!
