Sunday - December 13

Sunny Sunday.....we had a leisurely morning - breakfast, Mass with Bishop Reed and even a little nap.    Think this surgery took more out of me than first thought - been sleepy, but the drugs should all be gone out of my system now.    The shoulder is starting to hurt and feels so tight - definitely time to start therapy, which will not be fun, but so important.

My shoulder is quite a sight to behold - started out a little bruised, but each day is getting more colorful - black 'n blue 'n purple and today, we have a lovely shade of yellow all down my arm.    Thankfully, it's winter and no one has to look at that!    Ha.....of course, all part of the healing process.    Patience, patience, Pat......

We went to the Campbell's in the afternoon - visited with Auntie Karen before she headed home to Dixon.   I did some laundry and Mark helped the boys with organizing and cleaning the garage.    Anne's friends gave her 50 wrapped packages last night - so some good laughs over all those gifts!

Stopped at Starbucks on the way home for a chestnut praline latte  -  excellent treat for this day that turned cloudy and cold!

Watched more Christmas movies and read.    Checked in with Brooke and and later Michael to hear all about the surprise dinner party she threw for the birthday boy last night!

Happy 10th Birthday to our grand dog, Jinx in NC.....

Jinx is 10, but REALLY "70" in dog years!
As Brady said "he's looking good for 70"!

Everyone on zoom tonight was in good spirits (missing Nancy).    We are so enjoying nephew-in-law, Ryan's humorous updates on his health and especially the good news for his recovery!     Truly amazing!

Have a fun, safe week in mid December.....the countdown is on!
And as the Covid cases rise, we have sooo many to pray for with various health issues!
