Friday - December 2

A blustery day with wind gusts reaching 50 mph.    Yikes, hang on to your hats out there.    The boys and their fur buddies were out the door before 7.   I went to 8:00 Mass at Holy Trinity and then met Sharon at Panera for a 3+ hour breakfast and great visit - we covered so much stuff (families, health, our winters in Florida, books, memories from the past, etc.)    Larry who played bridge with Sharon, Harry, Mark and me years ago stopped by so we had a nice visit with him.    We remember his very sweet Bev who passed away December 26, 2020.    Looking forward to seeing Sharon and Harry in February/March when they return to Naples.

Pat and Sharon

Stopped at Meijers for a few things and then "blew" home and hibernated rest of the day turning up the Christmas tunes, wrapping some gifts, doing computer stuff, some long phone chats, and making more lists.

The 4 boys got home at 5 - whoaaa....dogs were excited to be home and my peace 'n quiet was gone!     Ha....nah, they are good doggies just rambunctious till eventually they calm down.

And then it was just the fur babies and Grandma.....Connor went to the CCHS/Eureka basketball game in Eureka with friends.   Liam is spending the night with a friend whose Dad was in Michael and Anne's class.

I watched "Where the Crawdads Sing" - oh my.............wonderful.   Mark and I read the book several years ago and had been wanting to see the movie.   It's out on Netflix and we (Brooke, Judy, Mark and me) had planned to watch in NC but too much going on.     So, Anne had me all set up before she left and I'm sitting here with tears!     Excellent movie.

CCHS won tonight and a junior on the team (Connor's class) scored 37 points - he's been recruited by several colleges.

Congratulations to Luke who won the Young Author's award in Burke County, NC!    Way to go, Luke!!!

Winds are still very strong!

Enjoy your weekend
