Wednesday - February 1

Welcome to February in Florida, another fabulous weather day and my brother Ron's 83rd birthday!

We walked this morning, then to Hardees (to "UNdo" all that good walking"  ha!) for biscuits and gravy for Mark and a biscuit for me.    Stopped at Publix for a few groceries and on home.

I did some laundry, made egg salad for lunch and later this afternoon, we walked to Pete and Barb's (formerly from Wisconsin) lot for a nice visit, drinks and snacks.   We met Pete several weeks ago when he was bike riding.    He invited us for today and so fun visiting for 3 hours.   They've been residents here at CT since it all began back in 2012.    Lots to yak about!    They will soon be building a home in Georgia near their son and family (they have 2 grandchildren and one of them is Liam, 2).

On home and a quiet evening

So excited to get a text from Marika and Stefan (owners of our favorite coffee shop - Peter's) announcing their new location downtown and "hoping" to open in March?

Watching the coverage of the ice storm in TX and other southern states + the bitter cold in IL makes us very thankful we are where we are.

My brother Bob and Linda are coming tomorrow for a few days - good shopping and eating coming up!    Unfortunately, Ron and Vicki will not be coming as she's having some health issues.
