Saturday - April 5

Another big, fun day in Lakeland.     Luke slept 11.5 hours - Grandma and Grandpa were very grateful for that as we were  exhausted from our big day yesterday with Annette's birthday celebration and the air show.

 

We met Bob and Linda at the mall - the guys strolled Luke around and stopped at the coffee shop while Linda and I shopped.   Then to Ron and Vicki's for lunch (good leftovers from yesterday's party.    While my brothers napped and the girls got their hair done, Mark and I strolled around the park with Luke and did some visiting.

Had a great visit with my cousin, Sylvan and'Virginia at their home.

Linda's birthday is next Friday - she opened her gifts in the afternoon and we enjoyed Luke and saw and heard the Blue Angels occasionally from Ron and Vicki's backyard.

 

Philip and Annette are with friends in Orlando for the weekend celebrating her birthday

which is the 9th.

 

Bob, Linda, Ron, Vicki, Jason, Mark, Luke and I all went to Grillsmith for dinner - very good.   Luke loves to swing, so played, had a bath and off to dreamland early for all of us!

Friday - April 4

What a big day......started out leaving Daisy and taking  Luke at 6:45 AM to pick up his Daddy and we were off to Brandon (30 minutes away) to meet Ryan at Panera for breakfast.   

 

Ryan and all the Blue Angel pilots are kept very busy, so this was a real treat to have breakfast and visit before his busy day really got started!.

 

Luke was up early and slept on the way home from Brandon this morning

 

We had a surprise luncheon at Ron and Vicki's for Annette's birthday (40th next week)!    What fun with family and friends and then off to the air show.

Mark took a slew of pictures with his new camera, but too tired to sort thru tonight!

 

It was a great day with the Blues providing sooo many thrills - and so good to have lots of family and friends present to enjoy it all!     This was the 40th annual Fun 'n Sun air show in Lakeland!!!

Thursday - April 3

Beautiful day.   Mark and I ran a few errands in the morning and anxiously awaited

Luke and family's arrival.   They got here shortly after 2:00 and we visited a bit on Daisy and left for my brothers,    Our nephew, Jason (Bob and Linda's son) flew in from Madison for the weekend.  

 

Enjoyed visiting with everyone and watching the Blue Angels do their practice session - so awesome!    Seeing them perform never ceases to send shivers, thrills and chills thru me!

We all went to Manny's for delicious dinner.   Luke is spending the night on Daisy and Mommy and Daddy are staying at Ron and Vicki's.

Wednesday - April 2

BIG day of shopping in Brandon, FL......7 of us gals left Lakeland at 9:30 and "shopped till we dropped" and enjoyed a fantastic lunch at The Cheesecake Factory.    Home at 4:45 and joined the guys for visiting, drinks, and later, bar-b-que sandwiches, cole slaw and baked beans!

 

Mark took Daisy to Lake Wales for a bit of maintenance.    He and my brothers drove around, checking out Linder airport where the air show will be, etc.

They live in the same park as Ron's and Bob's and were out riding their bikes tonight - had a nice visit and hope to see them again before we leave.

 

Tuesday - April 1

Beautiful day for traveling and we were on our way leaving Siesta Bay at 7:25 AM.    Stopped for a bit in Wal-Mart parking lot in Arcadia to have breakfast on Daisy and I picked up a few items.

    Our new home is the Sanlan RV Resort in Lakeland for the next 6 nights.   We were here 3 years ago!   After we settled in, went for a bike ride around the park and on the sandy path that runs along the golf course.

Drove to my brothers (they live 2 doors apart) !  Sat and chatted and then off to
 Harry's, a favorite downtown restaurant.    

Here we all are sitting outdoors on a beautiful evening enjoying a wonderful meal!

Mom would've thought it was neat that all her kids were together.\

Today would've been her 95th birthday!  

 

Good to be back in Lakeland!!!
