Friday - August 21

It's a beautiful day here in Port Clinton.....there will soon be some hustle and bustle going on preparing for tomorrow's big hog roast - an appreciation day for Superior Marine's customers (both in slips here at the marina and those who store their boats for the winter     in heated storage buildings).   AND...our favorite musical duo, Gatlin from Fort Myers will be the entertainment.     Andrea is from Ohio and they perform around the state in the summertime.

I brought a few more things from Flo back to Catrina and caught up on some texts.

Picked up a chicken salad croissant and veggies from Coffee Express to share for lunch - they have excellent chicken salad.    And then I watched the Little League World Series from Williamsport, PA and my cousin's grandson playing - what a thriller with a 1-0 Iowa win.  Can't take much more of these nail biter games in the last inning - making me crazy!!!!!! but so happy for these boys and onto the next game on Sunday.

Philip and Annette's orientation continued today....they are enjoying it all

Our pilot boys
Philip and Annette in the cockpit of the 757 which he'll be flying!

Liam and Connor are home from their 10-day Barcelona adventure - they LOVED it all!!!
Tomorrow they leave for their junior year (Connor at U of Illinois) and senior year (Liam at U of Iowa)

Brady is helping yesterday and today move freshmen into their dorms for the beginning of classes on Monday.

Tonight lots of folks gathered on Bob and Donna's "So Blessed"  for lots of laughs and catching up - had not seen some of these folks all summer - everyone excited about the big hog roast of "Elizabeth" tomorrow!

Nighty night!

Oops....forgot to post this last night!

Monday-Thursday, August 17-20

Monday - I got a haircut with Wendy at 8 AM - boy did I need it after 8 weeks!!!   I got a latte at R Coffee Corner and on home.  We watched the launching of "Hercules" which is a 71' beautiful yacht that is headed to Nantucket.   Left for the Cleveland airport and picked Claire and Kathy up around 5:40.    Sooo good to see them and ready for some girl fun the next few days.      Drove back to Port Clinton, got them settled on Catrina and then to Dock's for dinner.   Plenty of yakkin' going on to catch up.

Off to dreamland (Mark and I are staying on Flo in the storage building.)

Tuesday - Up and at 'em for our 1st big day....we took Catrina and our guests to Put-in-Bay and went under the 9:30 bridge.   It was a beautiful day and nice cruising......we were just coming into the marina when I got a call from our long-time friend, Barb back in IL telling us her Roger had passed away.    We've known Barb and Roger since 1986 and I can't describe the shock, sadness and disbelief we all felt - put Barb on speaker and heard the details that Roger died of a massive heart attack on his 75th birthday.    Whoaaa....Kathy and I were crying and just devastated by this news.

We got Catrina tied up at the Municipal Marina (B dock).    Took off and got our golf cart and coffee at Noddi's.    Sat for a bit to chat about Roger and just couldn't believe it.    Then off on the golf cart with Mark as our chauffeur and first stop was GOAT for lunch.    We had a short wait as they don't open till noon - but all enjoyed our salads.    Drove around the island pointing out some landmarks and other areas of interest.

All the padlocks on Put-in-Bay

Breezy boat ride back to Port Clinton

We girls did some browsing the shops later, Mark returned the golf cart and then back to Catrina.   We could not have had a better day weather-wise!    We got back to Port Clinton in time to make the 4:30 bridge.    Love that good warm, sunshiny, breezy feeling after being out on the water.

We showered and then we gals were off to Gideon Owen Winery - sat outside and another good meal.   Walked around the grounds and soaked up all the beauty - so glad to share this with my friends!

Best friends for many years

Kathy and Claire with pretty flowers

Wednesday - we gals went to R Coffee Corner and sat and caught up some more on Kathy's great nephew's wedding this past Friday in Burlington, IA and enjoyed the pictures.    And Claire had been with her 3 daughters in Lake Geneva, so more fun to catch up on.   We also talked about our next year's get together (been doing this since 2014 when Kathy moved to Texas except for Covid).

We browsed some shops and then to lunch at The Orchard Farmstand - another gorgeous day and sat on the patio, and walked around the grounds past the vineyards, saw the variety of unique chickens at The Coop and admired the lovely flowers + the gift shop.   Took them to Twin Oast Brewery and walked around their pretty fields.   And then to Rudder's (favorite deli) and shopped in their gift store.    One more stop before home and that was at Newport - no purchases but fun to check out the pretties. We are all tired - Kathy and I took naps and then left to eat again.................

Tonight we went downtown for dinner at Poseidon - the girls loved all the choices - decisions, decisions!    Another fine dinner!

A toast to our last evening together

We walked around the marina and showed them where we keep Flo.    Nighty night!

Thursday - cloudy and got the suitcases loaded in Ruby and off to Coffee Express for our fix before we head to the airport.     And then to Cleveland.    The tradition goes on for another fun outing and so happy I could share Port Clinton with them.    Our tentative plan for 2027 is Lake Geneva, WI.

Back to PC and I was driving in heavy rain - ugh!    But this afternoon was sunny and delightful!

Settled back on Catrina for a few weeks....summer is really winding down.

So, Liam and Connor have been in Barcelona for the past 10 days - amazing what these 2 have done (seeing all the famous sites, learning about the culture and customs, etc.)   They rented bikes and rode around 80 miles a day (3 days) climbing steep uphills and fast downhills.    Rigorous and they loved it all!!!!!    The highlight was their tour of the Sagrada Familia Basilica - 150 years in the making but was to be completed in 2026 (we toured it in 2012).    But the boys said it will be another TEN years till one side is completed!!!    What a masterpiece designed by Antoni Gaudi.   Pope Leo said Mass at the Sagrada on June 10th on the 100th anniversary of Gaudi's death at age 73 when he was hit by a trolley car.

At the Sagrada

Today Philip started his career with FedEx.     He and Annette are in Memphis for orientation and Uncle Ryan is showing Luke and Maeve a good time!

Family fun

Sorry that our niece Molly's hubby, Ryan had to undergo more surgery today after his very long ordeal last Friday - please keep him in your prayers....could be another 2-8 week hospital stay

My cousin Dave's grandson Kannon was to play for Iowa in the Little League World Series tonight - well.....that game has been postponed cause of very heavy rain.    Rescheduled for tomorrow at noon eastern time.

Kathy and Claire are back home in IL and TX - we will cherish our happy memories from the past few days!

Tonight our neighbor across the water here at Superior, Jeanne from Hilton Head came to Catrina for a visit - what fun and so admire her as she also lives on her boat or RV.   Her husband passed away 8 years ago.   She is storing her boat here for the winter and will continue her travels next year.  She is living in her RV along with Roscoe, her dog till she leaves in a few weeks.    Beautiful evening on Catrina's bridge!    Another boater, Dan stopped in for a visit!   Dan has been working on his boat all summer, but in the meantime, was diagnosed with cancer and his home burned and he and his wife lost everything!    Unbelievably sad story but what a remarkable, resilient guy who is always fun to visit with and has such a positive attitude.

Very adventurous Jeanne

Sunday - August 16

We had rain off and on but nothing like the forecast for all-day!    We enjoyed a much more leisurely Sunday after our big day yesterday.    Late morning we went to Bassett's for some groceries and then Rudder's Deli for an Italian sub to go and a latte for me - they have thee best sandwiches!!!

On home, had lunch and did a load of laundry.    Then grabbed the bucket, soap, brushes, etc. and gave Catrina a good scrubbing - just so many darn bugs, spiders, etc., etc.

After the latest rain, it was hot, sunny, windy and humid.    I made spaghetti for supper.

9 on Zoom tonight - talked about Ryan and Janet's surgeries; storms and so much rain; Tom and Beth's trip to Alaska; school starting, etc.

Tomorrow afternoon we'll pick up my friends Claire and Kathy in Cleveland.    Can't wait for some girl fun this week.    Taking a break from the blog till Thursday...

Have a good week!

Saturday - August 15

We are tired nomads but happy with all we got done today!   Did a final cleaning on Catrina after all our stuff was taken off and put away on Flo.    We are ahead of the game for when we do all this at end of the season (week before Labor Day).

It was so humid - just a very-drippy-kind-of-day....did a pump out in the afternoon - had a few light sprinkles off and on.    Also did 2 loads of laundry here at the marina - a challenge to figure out this washer/dryer combo, but think Mark finally got it!

Went to 4:30 Mass at Immaculate Conception with Father Jonathan - as always, says so much in just a few short minutes!

Had a delicious dinner at Poseidon downtown and on home.    We are staying on Flo tonight - expecting rain tonight/overnight/tomorrow!   Catrina needs a good outside scrubbing, so hope the rain will help!

Very happy to report that after 12+ hours of surgery, Ryan H (niece Molly's husband) is in ICU recovering and breathing tube taken out this afternoon.    What an ordeal for him, but hoping all good from here on and praying for his recovery and healing.

Friday - August 14

We walked downtown to Coffee Express for breakfast and coffee.   Back home and Mark worked in the shed.  Anne updated us on the awful storm yesterday - she was out of power for 9 hours - parts of roofs blown off (hospital and YMCA); windows blown out, lots of trees down with 70 MPH winds.

I walked back downtown in the afternoon for a manicure with Danielle.    She's so much fun to visit with and we had a lot of catching up after 8 weeks since I was there.

On home for an exciting afternoon.    My cousin Dave (and Mary Jo's) grandson, Kannon lives in Davenport, IA and plays on a little league team that has been in the regional playoffs (Whitestown, IN) determining who goes to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA.    Today they played Wisconsin and what an exciting, nail biter, heart attack game that Iowa won in overtime 7-6.    The boys are 10-12 years old and Kannon hit a beautiful single to score 2 runs - he was the big hero!    Next week, the world series will begin.

Mark and I remember that in 1996, Michael was living/working in Williamsport and my parents, Mark and I visited him and drove past this famous ballfield.    Who would've thought, 30 years later, we would be cheering on a relative next week.....

We went to Rich's Drive-thru for their delicious fried chicken, potato salad and watermelon for supper!

Praying for our niece Molly's husband, Ryan who is undergoing very serious surgery in Milwaukee as I write this....

Enjoy your weekend.....

Thursday - August 13

Cloudy and dreary day...Mark worked in the shed organizing his bins - I put more stuff away on Flo - we're getting there!   At 10:30 we left for Fremont (1/2 hour south).    First stop was The Tackle Box II for lunch - we shared the platter of pollack, onion rings and cole slaw - all delicious!    Then to Wal-Mart, Lowe's and Aldi and finally, our 1:00 appointment to have Ruby's tires rotated and oil changed.   On home for naps and a quiet afternoon.

Anne said they had a doozy of a storm pass thru today - heavy rain and wind blew out screens on her porch, flooded the street, many trees down, no power, etc.   The storms around the Midwest have been unreal the past few days.    It was really sticky and humid this afternoon.

We walked after supper - not a leaf is stirring!   These pics are from a HUGE, GINORMOUS, tree trunk that floated into the marina while we were gone.    The marina guys had to use the travel lift to get it out - dandy piece of driftwood....ha!

Had to stand way back to get it all in!   Look down low.

Mark is behind to show how massive this is.   The yacht behind just sold for $3+m  and heading to Nantucket

Wednesday - August 12

Funky day - dreary, cool and humid with more rain coming....Mark was visiting with the marina guys and then suggested we get some coffee - YES, a good day for a hot drink!   We walked downtown to Coffee Express, got our coffees and walked back.

Working on the September/October calendar and planning get togethers with family/friends when we're back at KK.   Mark made some flight arrangements, too..........going to be a busy fall.

Rain started at 2.....heard that Port Clinton is now 2" above normal for rainfall.

We ran some errands in the afternoon - after the rain it really cooled off!

Tuesday - August 11

Heavy rain and a real lightning show last night around 12:30 and then this morning.    We've had 1 3/4" of rain the past 2 days.

Defrosted Catrina's freezer and took more stuff off and then organized that stuff on Flo.    Claire and Kathy will stay on Catrina and Mark and I will sleep on Flo next week.

Mark got a haircut with Gina and I went to Coffee Express.   On home.    Very humid out and more storms could be coming - rain in the forecast for next several days.    We've now had over 2" in 2 days, but Michael said tonight they got 2" in 30 minutes at Lake James!!!!   πŸ˜§

More rain around 4.    When it let up a bit, we went to Cabo Las Palmas for Mexican - popular place and our favorite here in Port Clinton - we even shared their fried ice cream....yummy!!!

Very good dessert!

Monday - August 10

Stormy last night and this morning - nasty thunder, lightning, strong winds, hail and heavy rain (think that about covers it)!   πŸ˜ƒ    More storms were predicted around 9:30 but they ended up going south of us!

Mark ran some errands and I started with the cleaning on Catrina preparing for my friends (Claire and Kathy) coming for a visit next week!

A retired heating/cooling guy (Denny) came to Catrina this morning to check our AC in the main salon.   Occasionally on our trip, we had it "freeze" up.   We would turn it off and let it "thaw" and then it worked fine.   So Dave (dockmaster) gave us Denny's name and he was in the area so able to come today - a little low on freon and gave it some general maintenance - we are good to go!!!

Naps after lunch and then 4 loads of laundry - nice visit with Barbara Ann who keeps our favorite laundromat spic 'n span!!!

I went to "So Blessed" to visit with Donna (boat sister) and her sister Kathy, who is visiting this week.    Lots to catch up on = much yakkin'  πŸ˜‰

Donna and Kathy
Catrina in the background

Sunday - August 9

Sunny warm Sunday....after breakfast, we started removing more stuff from Catrina to put on Flo, Big Red or in the storage building.   Stuff, stuff, soo much stuff!

A very interesting statistic came out this week.....in the first 6 months of this year, over 200,000 new residents are making Florida their home applying for drivers' licenses.   WOW.....10,000+ are in Lee County (Fort Myers).

Nine on zoom tonight - Sharon is enjoying her new grandbaby, Warren; Theresa is dealing with her badly injured arm (can't have home-health care any longer cause she's too healthy); discussed Sister's Weekend the end of September; Joan asked for prayers (neighbor Josh is going to court tomorrow regarding a fatal auto accident);  Janet and Doris have enjoyed their grandchildren this summer but tired when they leaveπŸ˜‰   Heavy rain in Dixon, Rockford and Chicago today - heading our way.

Have a great week ahead!

Saturday - August 8

It's so good to be back in Port Clinton.    We had a bunch of errands but first, breakfast at Ala Carte which is always a good hearty start to the day!

Another very warm sunny day.....we worked on our stuff - taking things off Catrina and starting to organize of what we don't need for rest of the season.

Mark put his stats for the trip together and here goes:

Cruised 1,466.4 miles (94.1 engine hours)

653 gallons of fuel

$3,622.68 cost of fuel

$5.55 average cost/gallon

48 days on the trip with 1 day less than 7 weeks

20 days were we were moving on Catrina; rest of time we were in port for multiple days

Some other tidbits to share (from me):

Best marinas (boater's lounge, bathrooms/showers) - Manistee, MI and Sturgeon Bay, WI

Several good coffee shops but funkiest: Red Cup on Washington Island, WI; 5 and J Sturgeon Bay, WI and The Coffee Factory (Muskegon, MI)

Best biking: Frankfort, MI

Best walking: Manistee, MI

Best shopping:  Sturgeon Bay, WI;

Christmas shops (Tannenbaum in Sister Bay and Alpine Gift Haus in Cedarburg, WI)

Highlights:

Road trip to some favorite northern Michigan ports and visiting Dennis and Teri in Presque Isle, MI:

Family reunion in Menominee Falls, MI

Dinner with our nephew Steve and Lori in Marinette, WI; long-time boating friends Ron and Pat in Muskegon, MI and Leon (in the hospital) in Muskegon; CT friend, Linda in Muskegon; Allie and Owen in Muskegon and enjoying Grand Haven and the water fountain show + good eating, coffee and touring the LST boat (guys).

We went to 4:30 Mass with Father Jonathan at Immaculate Conception (another awesome homily).    Then to The Orchard for a wonderful dinner (thanks to Anne, Liam, Connor, Gibson and Frankie) for my Mother's Day gift.    Top notch!

Back home and went for a walk - I met Jeannie who is from SC and just brought her beautiful yacht from Hilton Head to Port Clinton where it will be stored for the winter.    She also has a beautiful RV and living in that for now.    Mark met her before we left on our trip and followed along in her boat (Magic Carpet) travels these past several weeks.

Friday - August 7

We are HOME!!!    Came under the bridge at 3:30 and Donna (boat sister) and Dave (dockmaster) were there to grab our lines - thank you very much!    Big hugs for these dear folks and so good to be back  (1 day shy of 7 weeks)!!!

We left Port Sanilac at 6:40 AM and had nasty fog for almost 2 hours on Lake Huron.    Then to the St. Clair River and tah dah....nice 'n clear; then Lake St. Clair, the Detroit River and finally, the last hurrah, Lake Erie and 2.5 hours to Port Clinton.   153 total miles today.

It's hot.....but no complaints - funny how much of this trip we were wearing long pants, hoodies, jackets, etc.....

Thursday - August 6

Exactly 9 hours of travel time today - we left Rogers City at 6:18 and arrived in Port Sanilac at 3:18.   160 miles and pretty calm seas with sun, clouds, sun, clouds and then a surprise shower at 2:45!    Just enough to make things messy.

I fixed breakfast along the way - cheesy eggs, fruit and cranberry walnut toast.

We are at the Port Sanilac Municipal Marina for our last night before "home sweet home"!

So thankful that our good friends, Leon and John are doing much better after serious health issues - Leon in Michigan and John in Florida.

Mark's sister Sharon has a new grandbaby - "Warren Thomas" was born to Sarah and Daniel weighing 7 lbs. 14 oz and 19".    He has a big brother Mason, 2.

Baby Warren

After settling in, we walked to the Stone Lodge - an old building with stone fireplace and lots of animal heads - like up in north country,    We really enjoyed our meals - chicken pot pie for Mark and walleye for me - excellent!    Busy place.

Lovely old hotel we passed on our walk to the Stone Lodge

Tomorrow starts the 12th annual Blues festival here in Port Sanilac (less than 600 residents).   It's a very big event and they are setting up tents tonight.  One year ago when we were returning from our boating trip to Canada, we tried to get a slip for one night but it was this same time and nothing available.....glad it doesn't start till tomorrow when we'll be outta here.

We also heard that this weekend marks the annual garage sale which is along a busy highway and goes from town to town.

 WHEW....one more day!

Wednesday - August 5

We had some light rain off and on during the night and this morning, but by 8:00, it was done, even though the forecast said "all day".    So, my captain decided we should take off and get some more miles in towards home sweet home.

We left at 9:35 not sure where we would end up, but not the best conditions today - cloudy and dreary with some wobbling seas - not too bad, but not what we like.    So, 38.5 miles later, we were in Rogers City again (last visit was June 24th - 3 days after we started this big trip and now into our 7th week)!!!

Had a familiar face greet us on the dock, got our routine done, Mark checked into the office and we walked downtown.   I went to Cook's Coffee Nook for an iced latte and Mark went across the street to The Painted Lady for his iced Americano decaf.   Gotta support these local businesses.    Then to Save-a-Lot for some pasta salad.    Had a light lunch on our way back to Catrina at the Pavilion Grille.

I made a batch of BBQ and we had a nice quiet afternoon.   Liam called - can't believe he's down to his last 2 days of his internship in Minneapolis!    He has sure enjoyed the work, family he stayed with and the wonderful recreational area.    He biked 102 miles on Saturday from Minnetonka, MN to Hudson, WI.    Holy moly!!!!!

The rain started around 5 and got heavier but was over by 6:20.

Maeve had a belated birthday party this past Saturday....

Our sweet Maeve is "10" with her friends!

We had a picnic-style supper of BBQ, baked beans, watermelon and deviled eggs!

Tuesday - August 4

The Captain got me up at 5:45...UGH, but the plan was to leave early before the strong winds picked up.    So we left the dock at the G. Marsten Dame Marina in Northport at 6:18.   We had roly waves for several hours, but the wind was out of the south, we were headed north so the waves pushed us along.....WHAT A CRAZY RIDE....sometimes we went way left and then back and then to the right!!!    Poor Autopilot didn't know what was going on!

We went under the Mackinac bridge at 10:30 and then left Lake Michigan for Lake Huron.

We arrived at the Cheboygan County Marina in Cheboygan, MI at 11:45.    Stopped at the fuel dock for diesel and a pumpout.   Strong winds and to grow as the day goes on.   Happy to be here.    Our ride today was 90 miles; the 169 miles we did yesterday was a record as the previous longest day was 159 on Catrina.

Peggy, a friend of our brother-in-law, Tom H told us Saturday at the reunion about "HOMES" and the Great Lakes?    H (Lake Huron) O (Lake Ontario) M (Lake Michigan) E (Lake Erie) S (Lake Superior)!    We had never heard this!

After lunch we walked downtown (1 mile) - some nice stores + coffee shop (closed) and then to "The Dipper" for some ice cream (chocolate for Mark and Tennessee Toffee for me).

Tomorrow's travel plans are very iffy with 95% chance of rain all day.

Walking along the boardwalk and looking up to see this always beautiful "Old Glory"

Monday - August 3

BIG day for we nomads cruising 169 miles and 10.5 hours on Lake Michigan.    We left at 6:38 AM and crossed from Sheboygan, WI to Frankfort, MI for a fuel stop and kept on... arriving in Northport, MI at 6 PM.   Back on the Eastern time zone and nice to have that extra hour of daylight

We had planned to stop in Leland for the night but they had no slips available (24 boats were arriving today).    This was a shock as every marina we've gone to this summer has had plenty of space (maybe due to the high cost of fuel and not as many boaters are traveling???)    So, it was very surprising that we couldn't stay in Leland.    Oh well..... that meant we kept on going another 30 miles (all closer to "home" in Port Clinton).

We settled in along the wall here in Northport (we were last here July 16, 1997 with Ryan on Sail Catrina.)     Walked downtown and got some groceries at Tom's Market and then to "Fingers Crossed" for dinner.   It was ok, but Mark's ribs were not near as good as Rib City in Fort Myers.

The American Patriot was docked in Sheboygan when we left this morning
We saw this cruise ship in Muskegon last week.
Many sand dunes along Lake Michigan

So-so place
Northport has a population of 490 year-round residents and several restaurants, but
Fingers Crossed was the only one open tonight!

Soft pink shade of hydrangeas

Sunday - August 2

Windy, cloudy and cool this morning.....this was to be a travel day but not with 5' waves on Lake Michigan.    Seeing the big waves crashing over the rocks from our viewpoint - NO thank you!    Hope and pray things calm down and we can leave tomorrow?

We went to St. Peter Claver for 10:00 Mass with Father Paul Fliss.    There are several Catholic churches in Sheboygan, but they are consolidated with other parishes.    Enjoyed this Mass with a great pianist and soloist.    We had a special anointing of the sick - 40-50 members from the congregation were anointed by Father with the Chrism oils on their forehead and hands.    Something new according to Father.

After Mass we headed out to The American Club in Kohler, WI (high-end plumbing fixtures).    The Hotel and grounds are beautiful with the Green House (enjoyed our coffees and shared a rhubarb custard Danish), the Champagne Garden, etc.    There are 4 golf courses on the property.

Then to WalMart for a few things and on home.   The sun came out but winds are a'blowin!

Mark took the car back to Enterprise and then had a windy bike ride back to Catrina.

Our dock here at Harbor Centre has lots of  charter fishing boats which come and go - 2:30-3 AM, and some that will come in late at night well after dark - quite something for these fishermen and their love of this sport.

Lots of rods

A short zoom session tonight for just 20 minutes and 7 joining as we saw most everyone yesterday at the reunion,   Doris filled us in on her island picnic at the lake (rain, etc.) yesterday and Tom checked in from his Alaskan cruise.

Saturday - August 1

A rainy Saturday (during the night and all day)!    We left Catrina at 7:40 and headed to Cedarburg, a neat little town between Sheboygan and Milwaukee.    We had coffee and breakfast at Fiddleheads downtown.    Mark went back to the car and I walked 2 blocks to check out some shops, but not much fun with all the rain, dodging puddles amd bundled up from the cold and wind -ugleeee!

Back to the car and we drove around and found the Settlement shops which are in a very old building with several floors and but I was high and dry inside.    Some nice stores which I remember from 15 years ago shopping with Claire and Kathy.

And then we were off to Menominee Falls (1/2 hour south).    This is where we're having the Chamberlain reunion at Menominee Park.   A lousy day to be outdoors but we were under a shelter and made the best of it - we all had rain gear of some sort, long pants, hoodies, etc.   Not typical weather for August 1st.   There were 26 present and we had a bountiful selection of delicious food.    Some of us played games (Shanghai and Rummikub for me).    Hard to play many card games cause of the wind.    We appreciate our niece Hannah organizing and putting this together

The party broke up around 4:45 and folks were on their way home.    Had some sprinkles along the way and then sunshine.

We are tired tonight - big day!!!
