Tuesday - February 10

Pretty day with lots of sunshine but very windy.    I exercised (Mark did that yesterday) and we had a leisurely morning till around 11:30 when we left for a bike ride to The Cape Cod Fish Company and met Connie and Steve for a delicious lunch, but especially enjoyed our visit with these long-time friends who live in Fort Myers full time!    Duh....forgot a picture!

Monday - February 9

Rainy day (with occasional bursts of sunshine), but.....that didn't stop Kathy, Claire and I from a really fun girls' shopping/lunch day,    We drove to Naples and did 5th Avenue, but didn't come close to seeing it all; then to Tommy Bahamas for excellent lunch and more shopping on 3rd Street.
Love Naples, but so much to see, so little time!

Stopped at Trader Joe's and stocked up on more good stuff and then on home!    Very fun day...

Mark had a good day of doing "his" thing and dodging the showers on his bike!

Sunday - February 8

Sunshine, blue skies and 75 - doesn't get much better than this1     We took off on our bikes around 8:45 and rode to Target picking up a few items and having breakfast at Starbucks (in Target).    Back to Daisy and later went to noon mass at Church of the Resurrection.

Met friends, Beth and John (they have a PDQ just like Catrina) at McGregor Café for late lunch.......oh my, what a delightful afternoon with these special folks from Charleston who now live full time on their boat in downtown Fort Myers.    We met them last winter in Marathon.     Lunch was fantastic sitting outdoors on this spectacular day and with a whole lot of chatter!!!    Looking forward to seeing Beth and John again soon!

Very pretty day in Fort Myers.....Luke was sooo happy to see his Mommy this morning!    We had breakfast and then walked around the park a little and off to Ka-We-Hatchee Park (LOTS of kids there today playing soccer, flag football, on the playground,  and of course, the dogs.)
 Luke had a ball!

So good to be with Mommy again...

Playground fun!

Lunch at 5 Guys...

Bye bye sweet Luke - sooo glad we had this time together!
See you both in 2 weeks!

We did the laundry and went for a short walk and saw these boats
5 men were racing their remote controlled sailboats.
Luke would've loved the boats.

Met Roger, Barb, Paul and Kathy at The Prawnbroker for a wonderful dinner (one of our favorite restaurants in Fort Myers).    So good to be together again....

Back to Paul and Kathy's condo on the beach for more visiting and dominoes (Kathy is Queen)

Friday - February 6

Chilly start to the day, but after breakfast, Grandpa and Luke bundled up and went for a little stroll.   Later, we drove to Fort Myers Beach and had a great time at their beautiful state of the art library, including a fabulous children's section, complete with play area, a café (all the coffee drinks, lunch menu, etc). overlooking the gulf, the glass elevator with fish murals and port holes. and a used book store.    It's awesome and Luke loved it and he met Isabella, 17 months from Toronto.    They played together and we visited with her Mommy.
They are on FMB for 6 weeks visiting grandma and grandpa.
