August 5

Our day started out leaving Watson Lake and soon saw 3 large bison walking down the road....
This big guy is up close and personal....Stone sheep are indigenous to the mountains of northern British Columbia and
southern Yukon TerritoryAnd, a baby caribou walking beside us as we passed by
Stopped at the Northern Rockies Lodge for lunch - beautiful inside. This lodge is the only one open year-round in a 250-mile stretch along the Alcan Highway. All of their food is trucked from Edmonton (800 miles) 2x a week, so everything is pricey - lunch was very good, though. This lodge overlooks Lake Muncho which is 7 miles long - gorgeous!!!Jade-colored Muncho LakeTurquoise-colored Summit Lake - another gem!!!
And then a few areas of dust, dust and extreme dust (as the road signs read)!
Folded Mountain
Pretty drive along the Toad River (turquoise, too)
Tonight we are at the Blue Bell RV Park in Fort Nelson, BC. After traveling for 3 days, we are currently 1,000 miles north of Seattle....we'll just keep on a'chuggin and enjoying all the sites along the way!
