Sunday - April 15

First of all.....thanks so much to all who wrote with your concerns about my cold/back issues. Really appreciate your kind thoughts!
It's a beautiful Sunday and we are off at 8:20 to start the trek home. Following seas most of the day, so made for a comfortable ride (115 miles) on the Sea of Abaco to Little Bahama Bank arriving at West End on Grand Bahama Island at 4:00. I rested and/or read most of the way.
My cold is definitely better today and sore throat is gone (thank you God)! Voice is still a little raspy, but overall, think I'll make it AND, although the back is still very sore, the pain is not as severe as it had been. Maybe I got lucky and have bruised rather than cracked rib(s)? Time will tell.
Hard to believe that 6 years ago today, Ryan started Officer Candidate School in the US Navy.....he still has a 4 ½ year commitment to fulfil. We are sooo proud of him and all those serving in our military.
We had planned to cross tomorrow (63 miles and lots of deep water to Lake Worth). Another change in the forecast and now calling for 3-5 footers....NO thank you. We'll wait it out another day till conditions improve.
The Old Bahama Bay Marina here is the most expensive at $2.99 per foot. In the Abacos, we pay extra for water (anywhere from .20 a gallon to a flat mandatory fee of $15 here at Old Bahama Bay.) Internet service has been great – stayed connected each and every day and able to skype for phone calls (audio) from our computer to a land line or cell phone.
Had dinner at Teaser's here at the marina – nice place on the water and food is always good! Remember some of these folks from 3 weeks ago last night when we were here. Played 8 games of Sequence with Barb and Roger “stomping”, “whomping”, “shellacking” us 8 games to zilch....
but still a fun time!   Have a GREAT week!

Evening Pat: Glad you are feeling better. Hopefully only bruises for the back and an ugly cold. Good cruising when you are able to cross to Lake Worth. Weather here is just as nice as we had the week in Treasure Cay. Getting back into the house routine. Got all my wash done, but now a closet full of ironing waiting. Need to really get onto some Spring cleaning. Somehow I still want to be at leisure like we were inthe Bahamas. Have a nice week. Love, Judy
