Monday - January 6

Well, this day will be going down in the record books across much of the country.....but not so here in south Fl where it was 82 and sunny.    Reading online, watching TV, getting texts and e-mails and seeing pictures all about the big snowstorm and bitter cold.   No school again tomorrow for Liam and Connor.   Anne and Patrick were off today, too and don't have to go in till 10 tomorrow!

Started the morning exercising...

The 7-mile bridge is just 1 mile from us and the longest bridge connecting the various keys.    When the new 7-mile bridge was constructed from 1978-1982, the old bridge became a pedestrian and biking trail that we walked on today.     Not too shabby - got the Atlantic on one side and the Gulf on the other!!!    Very popular spot for walkers, joggers, runners, bikers, strollers, etc.   There is a massive undertaking going on to raise funds for the restoration and preservation of the bridge.

Congratulations to Annette - today, she is officially a stay-at-home-Mom!   Soo happy for her and Luke is one lucky little guy having his Mommy home!

Spent a few hours at our beautiful, warm infinity pool (this is for boaters and RVers) and has to be the prettiest and 1st infinity pool we've ever seen at a marina or RV park.    Met some nice folks from Stevens Point,  WI (Jane and Patrick) and Charleston (John and Bev) who are spending the winter on their boats.   John and Bev have a PDQ 34 power cat just like Catrina.   Looking forward to more visits with these new boating friends.

Of course, the hot topic is the weather here (wonderful) back home (for most, baaaad) and what's coming for us.    A front has come thru and much cooler - tomorrow a high of 60 predicted.    We are looking forward to an afternoon of games with Jane and Joe at their place!

Mark grilled out hamburgers and we went for a short walk after supper.

Ryan flew to Memphis today instead of Chicago - still very COLD!

Hope you are warm 'n cozy!    The winds have really picked up - talking about 40 mph gusts and the waves 10-14 feet!   Whoaaaa...
