Saturday - January 11

The day started off with sunny blue skies and after breakfast, we were off on our bikes to the bridge.    Great day for riding, but strong winds coming back.    We stopped at "Outfitters" a bike shop - not in the market for new bikes, but amazed at all the new, fun colors - why didn't they do that years ago?     We were about 1/2 mile from Daisy when the clouds rolled in and the skies opened up!   Luckily we were able to take cover under a store front....would've really gotten soaked if we had been on the bridge!    And..........typical Florida, quick little shower and beautiful rest of the day.

After lunch, we sat by the pool and read and had long phone chats with my friend, Barb back home and sister-in-law, Linda.

We went to 4:00 Mass, got some groceries at Publix and then Mark grilled out chicken.  I made a salad and wha la...simple supper that was very good topped off with some good white wine as we sat on our little brick patio!

This is a big weekend for Liam and Connor.....they are in Chicago with Mommy and Daddy and tomorrow.....they get to skate on the Blackhawk ice arena at the United Center and then enjoy the game.   All compliments of their hockey league back home - lottery system a while back and they and some others were chosen to do this special event + tickets to the 6:00 game tomorrow night!

The budding hockey stars all geared and suited up - ready for Chicago fun and some action on the ice -

GO BLACKHAWKS!!!!!
