We left the campground at 7:50 AM and had just a very
short glimpse of the sun before the majority of the day was very overcast with
occasional misty rain. Traveling thru
Tennessee was absolutely spectacular with the fall color – can only imagine how
extra special it would’ve been if the sun was shining on all those reds,
oranges, golds, etc. All this beauty
continued on into North Carolina!
Today is All Saints Day and the 40th
anniversary of my Grandpa Gallisath’s (Mom’s dad) death. I can remember that day so well
(11/1/75) We were staying with my parents
that weekend. Mark was helping my Dad
with the fall harvest and we had taken Michael and Anne (4) trick or treating
the night before to a few homes in the country.
For the most part, it was good traveling till we were
20 miles from Asheville and then the rain started and been ongoing rest of the
way!
Today was the last on-the-road show
for the Blue Angels. They are in
Peachtree City, GA…..but today’s show was canceled due to very overcast and
threatening weather – SAFETY FIRST!
We’ll be there for “Homecoming” next
weekend in Pensacola!
Arrived at the kids/kiddies at 4:15 - yeah!!! We got Daisy settled in the driveway for now thru Christmas.
And now, here's our Princess....
Cheerleader
Grandma's Girl
Rain continues to fall - 100% chance over night and all day tomorrow!
Have a great week...
