We left Columbia around 8:30 and had sunshine for a while, but mostly a cloudy day with the winds blowing stronger as the day went on. We kept reading and hearing about the nasty storms coming to the Midwest with severe thunderstorms, heavy rain, strong winds and possible tornadoes.
Arrived back in Bloomington around 4 and checked into our "new home" at Eastland Suites. Got our stuff unloaded, unpacked and just like a couple of little kids, all giddy about our new "digs". At 5;15, we walked to the main building for happy hour! Then across the street for a quick supper at KFC before settling in for the night.. When we came out of the restaurant, it was raining and of course, very windy. Good night to be in as the winds howl but we have a nice fire going!
