Tuesday - December 12

December 12, 1970....Mark and I became the proud and very surprised parents of twins -
a boy and a girl and now, 47 years later, here they are!!!
What a great pair!!!

It's been a big day celebrating with Anne.....we took off on the early train to Chicago on a very cold, windy day!     We shopped till we dropped (really)!!!     Bought the birthday girl some new clothes (big sale at Macy's made it extra fun)!

Lunch at the Walnut Room - beautiful and so crowded with tons babies, toddlers and school-age kids!     Many parents and grandparents take the kids out of school for a trip to the city, visit Santa, and eat on the 7th floor

Cheers!

Good shopping

More browsing and shopping on Michigan Avenue but kept up a steady pace to keep warm.     The temp was 19 and with the wind, said it felt like 8.     Burrrr.....

We got all the way to Water Tower Place and then the long trek back to Union Station.    We did over 20,000 steps!   Got a few snacks, some hot drinks and then sat till our train was ready to board.

Good to be home and enjoy a nice hot bath after a great day with my girl!

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY
MICHAEL and ANNE
