Tuesday - April 16

Just a spectacular day for traveling.....clear blue skies and 77.    394 miles from Treasure Coast RV Resort in Fort Pierce to Camp Lake Jasper in Hardeeville, SC.    We arrived at 3:00, set up Flo and opened all .the windows on this lovely day.

Very pretty park

I walked around the park while Mark set up our traveling internet switching over from Lot 102 to Flo as she's moving here, there and everywhere.

We are just 28 miles from Beaufort, one of our favorite southern cities.    Thought about going there for dinner, but then......after driving all day, nah....decided to try the local cuisine in Hardeeville.    Our trusty trip advisor gave "Gwen and Franny's Fried Chicken" the #`1 spot to dine.

Good dinner!

So....that's where we went - a very small, Mom and Pop restaurant that's been around for years serving up fried chicken and all the fixins, plus other specials (ribs and oxtail today) along with crab cakes, shrimp and other choices.    Mark still favors his all-time fried chicken favorite (after his Mom's) at Poogan's Porch in Charleston!

I walked some more when we got home.....working off all that chicken!    While walking, I ran into a couple who we saw at Gwen and Franny's,,,,imagine that!    They are Mike and Darby from Nova Scotia and we had such a nice visit about FL, RV travels (they also have an Airstream), boat travels (former owners) and where we're going from here.       Later I met a nice guy from Montana (another Airstream owner) - their son will be finished with Army Ranger training in Savannah this weekend, so been on the road for past 3 1/2 weeks and drove thru rain, sleet and snow for the ceremony!

So sad and tragic to see the pictures and devastation at Notre Dame Cathedral.....

302 miles to Lake James...............😊
