Wednesday - September 14

Beautiful day in the country.....we had a light breakfast and then walked down the road passing bean and corn fields.    We remember when we left in May, the beans and corn were just popping thru the ground and now almost ready for harvest!

One of many bean fields surrounding KK

Mark and Micci (owners of KK) have done some really nice improvements over the summer - fencing in the pool and expanding the patio area.    Also, inside the office, they have a small store with some basics that campers might need and we sure appreciate the convenience.

New fence around pool
Cute signs and mini grocery in office

Claire and I had lunch and a long visit at Destihl today - sat on their covered patio - delightful!    So fun to catch up - she just returned from 19 days in Italy.

Lovely day for dining al fresco

Mark had a leisurely day on Flo doing some bookwork and other odds and ends.

Tonight we grabbed our drinks and walked around the park - always enjoy seeing where all the RV's/campers are from and since so many kept rolling in today.....they came from California, Idaho, Nevada, South Dakota, Florida (2), Illinois (6) and then several from Pennsylvania (3), New Jersey (3), Virginia (3) + North Carolina (1) and Kentucky (1).    Well......the PA, NJ, VA, NC and KY campers were all women who are part of RVing women, org, a big group all across the US of singles, widows and ladies who like to RV.     What a delightful group which originated in Arizona and now has 15 chapters across the US.    They are staying at KK for one night and tomorrow off to the Amana Colonies for their yearly rally.    They are expecting 147 rigs (this is a small rally - usually have well over 300 RV's), but there will be seminars for the ladies, a 2 1/2 hour bus trip all around the colonies, etc.   One of the ladies said she was buying a quilt - well, that would be the place.

I told them about Shipshewana and they were excited as they are taking I-80 back home and this Amish community is just 16 miles off I-80 (just there 1 week ago)!   In fact, one of the ladies had been there,,,, "So....yes, let's stop there".    Plenty of quilts + the very good musical "Dear Soldier Boy".   What a fun bunch - some travel by themselves, some with another RVer or friend, some have pets - one lady has 3 parrots....and on and on the stories went.   Could've sat and visited much longer....they were sitting in a circle with their wine and rehashing their day's travels, past trips, etc.

Liam and Connor got some publicity last night from yesterday's golf tournament.    They were each featured in videos on sports news (channel 25 for Connor and channel 31 for Liam)!   Nice work guys!
