Tuesday - May 9

I was scheduled for an eye exam with Dr. Pinter this morning but the office called last night and said he had a conflict (traveling) so I needed to reschedule.    Since we're only here for 2.5 weeks, that was a challenge, but I'll see a different Dr. on the 19th, so...good to go!

We were off to town at 8:20 to pick up coffees and pastries at Panera.   Mark dropped me and the goodies off at Westminster Village and a great visit with Donna Rae while he went on for his haircut.   Lots to catch up on and so happy that she is doing so well having just celebrated her 91st birthday!

My dear, very-long-time friend

Good bye hugs and a plan to have lunch together on the 19th.   We had several errands and on home.   It's such a pretty spring day....sunny and 72.

We went for a walk this afternoon on the country road.    Then we watched mass from Immaculate Conception in Port Clinton with Father Jonathan.    Since we were traveling Sunday, we did not attend mass.

The school year is winding down - Davis has finished his junior year and soon starting his summer internship in Lexington, NC.    Can't believe he'll be a senior at NC State this fall!    Rest of the kiddos are coming down the home stretch with just days/weeks remaining.

Watched the final episode of series 12 of Call the Midwife.   I usually shed a few tears each week but tonight was especially sad/happy and what a terrific ending to the series - love, love, love this show!    Now I have to wait till January for Season 13.

I walked around the campground after supper - always interesting to see where the campers are from here at little ole KK....tonight we have Alaska, Missouri, Wisconsin (2), Michigan, South Dakota, Florida (3) and Illinois (3)
