Thursday - January 10

Bright and sunny, windy and chilly with a low in the 40's.....Mark went to town and visited Verizon with a new phone plan for when we travel as ATandT isn't always reliable (here in the park our cell service is very sporadic).

I caught up on some paper work and googled a new plant "Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow".    Never heard of this and yesterday, Kevin, the landscaper at Cypress Trail planted at our site as the hibiscus passed away.....this new plant will bloom lavender, white and then pink blossoms.    Sounds interesting and looks very pretty online!

I went to Dollar General for a few things - it's just 3 miles away and only 1 year old.    Nice to have this for some groceries and other piddlies instead of the 10-mile trip to town,

Today Philip spoke at Luke's school about navigation and reading maps.....Luke's classmates have been studying how to read maps and even walked around downtown Morganton finding things based on their maps with the local businesses welcoming them!

A fun happy hour but left a bit early with the chilly temps.    Leftovers tonight and cleaning out the ole fridge!'
