Tuesday - May 3

Lots of rain overnight and a very gloomy, chilly, hazy day!   We were waiting to hear back from the Lincoln dealer as we had a 10:00 appt. today to have some maintenance on my car.    They were to call yesterday (nothing) and let us know if we would have a loaner after they come pick up the car?    Mark called them and they were to get back to us....nothing.    Anthony called at 8 this morning - they'll come to KK to get the car, but no loaners available!

A nice perk of having a Lincoln is the service (door-to-door) and we've had this appt. for several weeks?    They picked up the car at 10 (that's when they were supposed to start the list, and still have a 30+ minute trip back to Pontiac._

But we have Big Red, so off to town with 4 loads of laundry and got that going.    Mark helped me get the wash machines set up and he ran some errands.   I went next door to Gloria Jeans for a latte - wanted a pastry, but nothing - no Danish, scones, muffins or breakfast sandwiches?     WHAT?   The guys said  "the truck didn't come in, but we've not had a lot of stuff to offer lately?"    Now what does that mean?

Clothes folded and on home - still a little drizzly out at noon!   Had lunch and put clean clothes away.

Mark is still waiting to hear back about starting therapy - once again, no one calls after orders have been sent in; he calls and no one returns calls!    ARGHHHH.  I so enjoyed Lee and Donna (my therapists for shoulder and other issues a few years ago).   Mark is going to their practice and finally, he has an appt. for tomorrow at 12:45.    YEAH....let's get this started.    He saw his PA last Friday and took till today to get an appt., and only cause we kept bugging them!    UGH!!   Ok....enough about not returned phone calls, lack of breakfast treats, etc.....

Although RV's and campers are coming and going here at KK, there are few people out and about unless they are walking their dog(s).    Certainly no chatting with neighbors these chilly days as folks are staying indoors!

Anthony called back at 3 - my car will not be done for a few days, BUT, suddenly a loaner car is available and they'll bring it to Bloomington later this afternoon and we'll meet them.

The reservoir in car needs to be replaced - the weirdest thing is that for several weeks now, the windshield wiper fluid just disappears?    Mark will put a gallon in and next morning, we get an alert that it is low on fluid?    And the really strange thing....never any sign of liquid on the pavement?    Where is it going?   Now we know there's a leak and will get new part, but could take a few days!

We met Jeff and ? at Menards parking lot and I'm now driving a red MKZ.    Mark went on to Carlock Family Restaurant for supper.   I met Claire at a favorite "Mystic Kitchen" downtown for another delicious meal.    we sat for 2 hours and gabbed away.....

Pat 'n Claire

Still drizzling the wind is really blowing and just plain ugly out there!     Maybe some sun tomorrow???    Good to be back on Flo.
