Sunday - February 5

A few light sprinkles to start the day...and then the sun came out and a lovely Sunday!

We picked up our neighbors (5 doors away), Barb and Joe and off to 9:30 Mass at St. Francis (their first time at this church).    Then we had a delicious breakfast at The Oasis....while we were waiting for our table, the rescue squad came to take one of the cooks away on a stretcher (yikes) as she was having some sort of issue.    Apparently this isn't the 1st time this has happened as this lady (Emma) who has high blood pressure, high sugar levels, etc., but she loves her job and keeps coming back.    As she was wheeled out of the restaurant, she waved and everyone clapped!

We so enjoyed our visit with Joe and Barb who are farmers, have 3 daughters, 6 grandchildren and new baby coming in August.    On home and enjoyed a quiet Sunday afternoon reading and catching up on other stuff.

Been talking to Michael and making plans for he and Blair's travel plans coming to Fort Myers in April (spring break).    Sooo looking forward to having her with us (Michael will stay 2 days).

Buddy and JoAnn (across the street) went with us to "Scoop Me Up" for some of their yummy ice cream.    Had a fun visit and then more visiting on the street with neighbors Alan, Linda and Millie, (their Golden Retriever).

Family zoom session tonight included 8 siblings and the usual chatter.    Sorry Jim is under the weather.    Tom and Beth had the flu really bad, and took a week to finally feel better!

Enjoy the week ahead!
