Thursday - April 10

Beautiful day for traveling and after getting Luke up, having breakfast and then good-bye to the Lake Worth clan, we were on our way to the RV park to hook Toad up to Daisy.   Back on the road at 9:25.    Traffic was heavy at times - lots of RV'ers heading north and by far, the majority
were from Quebec!

Sleeping "toddler" - bottoms up

Bye bye Luke....we'll see you in 3 weeks in St. Louis!

Luke had his one-year check-up today - 4 shots and 1 toe prick for anemia.   He and Mommy went to the park and he was a happy boy...and then took a long nap this afternoon.   He weighs 25 lbs.

The partying continues here in Lake Worth as we celebrated with Annette today!    Walked around the neighborhood with Luke, Mark and I exercised and the guys worked in the shop on more new projects Philip has under construction!

Susie came over in the afternoon for nice visit and birthday cake (amaretto) with ice cream.    Always so good to see her!

Luke is ONE...Luke is ONE...Luke is ONE...Luke is ONE

The big news in Lake Worth today is that Luke is having his
first birthday!    Grandma and Grandpa are very happy to be here to celebrate with the little man!

Annette, Luke and I strolled around the neighborhood and then he took a nap late morning.   Mark went to Daisy and did a few jobs.    The guys ran some errands and in the afternoon, their friends, Bonnie, Travis and baby Alison who is 3 months younger than Luke stopped by with a gift for the birthday boy.    It was good to see them again and meet Alison for the first time.

Rained off and on in the afternoon....Luke opened his gifts - so much fun and then time for cake
oh my!!!   We did faced time with Auntie Anne, Liam and Connor.

Monday - April 7

Sunny, hot and very windy today!    We left Lakeland at 9:40 AM heading to Lake Worth.    Stopped for lunch on Daisy (leftovers) at one of the toll plazas.    Took Daisy to storage at the Palm Beach Traveler Park in Lantana where she'll stay for the next 3 days.

Arrived at Luke's house and he met us with big smiles.    We did some pool time, Grandpa assembled Luke's  birthday gift from us (pictures coming tomorrow) and we strolled a bit in the neighborhood.    Philip had to go to work at 5, so.....after dinner (delicious chicken parmesan) and bath time for Luke, we are all settled in for an early night - still tired from the weekend.

Luke loves the pool or just water, period!!!

I've got Daddy's nose!

Tomorrow is the BIG #1 for our sweet boy!

Sunday - April 6

What a phenomenal weekend here in Lakeland....it was the 40th anniversary of the Fun 'n Sun air show!    Wow.....over 7,000 small planes and many camping out in their small tents beside their plane for the week + over 2,000 RV's and many vendors, vintage aircraft and on and on!    Unbelievable!!!    Lakeland did itself proud for running such a fine show!
 Ryan was quite impressed, too!
We had so many fun times with my brothers and wives, celebrating Bob and Linda's 43rd anniversary, Annette's birthday, and Linda's birthday with family and friends, having Luke for 3 nights on Daisy and of course, the  Blue Angels!
Sunday morning Luke was up at 6:45 (went to sleep at 8:30 last night).    We went to 8:00 Mass at Church of the Resurrection and then to Panera for breakfast!    Philip and Annette came to pick up their boy around 12:45.    He was very happy to see Mommy and Daddy!

Who needs toys when I've got my toes - on their way home today!!!

Did 3 loads of laundry and went to my brothers for drinks and sat in backyard and watched the Blues perform off and on (lots of clouds today), but goosebumps were still there!!!  Went to Abuelo's for delicious Mexican fare and margaritas....

Bob, Linda, Vicki, Ron, Pat, Mark

Excellent margarita - very smooth and so much!

Tah dah.....all gone!!!

Said our good-byes.   Bob and Linda head home tomorrow; Ron and Vicki leave for Australia on Wednesday and a month's visit with their son and family!    Safe travels to all and thanks for the memorable weekend!
