Our little jaunt out of town was lots of fun with family and friends.....we left for Venice Friday morning around 8:30 and met Brother Bob and Linda and Cousin Dick and Mary for a full day of shopping (the girls anyway). Had lunch at Sharkey's which is always a winner and walked out on the pier.

Said our goodbyes around 4:00 and they headed back to Lakeland and we were off to North Port to visit Allie and Owen in their new villa. Lots of laughs and fun! Their new home is lovely and we so appreciated the warm hospitality. Had a delicious dinner at Mi Pueblo Cantina in Venice - super margaritas and Mexican fare. Highly recommend this place (also in Sarasota). Back to their home for a good game of dominoes won by Mark and then off to dreamland!

Foggy this morning and cool.....Allie and I went for a walk around the neighborhood, she made a wonderful fresh blueberry coffeecake and also had yummy orange/cranberry scones. Said our
good-byes around 11 and we took off for Fort Myers

Rich and Doris picked us up for 5:00 Mass at St. Columbkille and then to The Prawnbroker for delicious dinner and lots of chatter....
