Wednesday - February 5

What a fun day........starting with Mark exercising (not so fun, but always glad when it's done)!    Packed a cooler with water and snacks and drove to the beach.   Had early lunch at Heavenly Biscuit - yum yum yum!!!    Mark's sister Doris and Rich from Palos Park are in town for a few days.   We picked them up at their hotel and  drove to Snook Bight Marina where we rented a pontoon for 4 hours on the Back Bay!   Weather was perfect (after an 80% chance of rain had been predicted earlier).    Absolutely delightful out there!

Went to the hotel, changed clothes and off to Fresh Catch for a fabulous dinner - love this place on the beach.
Wonderful dinner at Fresh Catch

Rich, Doris and I had the house specialty -
Spiced Pecan and Cranberry Crusted Grouper
Rich called it one of the best meals he's ever had - I agree!!!!

Sunset from our table

Doris and Rich have a daughter and son getting married this year - lots of wedding chatter and just so fun being together in the warm sunshine counting our blessings and pinching ourselves that we are here!    And very aware of what's going on back home with the snowy, cold weather.

And these 2 guys (Liam and Connor) had Day 7 off school today cause of the snow!!!
Spring Break can't come soon enough to get them outta the frigid north and down here - but still about 6 weeks away!
